Mory’s Gathering | Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress
👋 Please join us again at our monthly social, Gathering @ Mory’s, March 13, 5:30-7:30 pm, at Louis’ Lounge at Mory’s, as we celebrate International Women’s Day! The theme this year is: Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.
Over drinks (first drink on us!) and appetizers (also on us!) specially prepared by Mory’s chef, we will chat with our Special Guest, Dr. Morag Grassie, representing amplifyHERscience, a new initiative at Yale Ventures extending support to entrepreneurs at Yale from the underrepresented communities.
About our speaker:
Dr. Morag Grassie is the Director of the Blavatnik Fund for Innovation. She has over 30 years of experience in the pharma industry, entrepreneurship, and academic research. in 2020 she co founded amplifyHERscience, an initiative within Yale Ventures to advance parity of Yale entrepreneurs to reflect the diversity of the community and ensure innovation support is utilized by all. After graduating from Glasgow University with a BSc in molecular biology and Ph.D. in virology, she held positions in the pharmaceutical industry and a Yale biotech startup before joining Yale in 2018. Prior to this appointment, she was the Senior Associate Director for the Blavatnik Fund for Innovation at Yale and Associate Director, Business Development. Dr. Grassie has advised, expanded, and advanced the portfolio of Blavatnik proposals and projects and using her passion for people and curiosity for knowledge extended her role in 2022 to include business development, with a special interest in under-represented groups.
